Daytona Just Around the Corner

Daytona Just Around the Corner!

Racing season is just around the corner...Cars will be on the track again Saturday February 14th for the Sprint Unlimited which is a non points race. This is the official start of Speed Weeks and two weeks of on track action that starts off the 2015 NASCAR season.

For us race fans it has been a long off season since the last race in mid November and February couldn't get here fast enough. I am hoping that this will be the year that my guy finally takes home his first championship!

One of my favorite moments of Daytona is pictured below. This is when my guy Kyle Busch saved his car not once, but twice, and won the Sprint Unlimited. And yes, I did say he saved it and won!

Daytona is one of the oldest tracks on the circuit and holds tons of history. They actually started out racing on the beach. (pictured below)

My Favorite Driver

  1. Anyone that personally knows me knows that I am a die hard racing fan. With Daytona just a couple of weeks away, it is now time to go into full racing mode. For us NASCAR fans, The Daytona 500 means the start of a new racing season and another chance for our favorite driver to run for a championship.
  2. My favorite driver is Kyle Busch. He has been racing in NASCAR since 2003. His career stats just for NASCAR include 29 wins in 365 starts. His brash personality and "I hate to lose" attitude is why started liking him. His nickname "Rowdy" suits him and his driving style to a tee! Kyle's the kind of driver you either love or you love to hate. He has had his share of on and off the track troubles. But, over the past couple of years after marrying his spouse Samantha, he has shown a more personal side and become more likable. Although his true fans always loved him no matter what!

  3. Kyle Busch is an American stock car racing driver and team owner. He currently drives the No. 18 Toyota Camry in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the No. 54 Toyota Camry in the Nationwide Series for Joe Gibbs Racing.
